I’ve also heard that I’ll barely be able to tell the difference this early in my career and I should just buy the art I like, which also sounds nice. Pathfinder also sounds nice, but if it's too beginner-y then maybe the DOA? I also love the sound of the Basic, but if the Typo is the stiffer older brother then maybe that makes the most sense. I was very sold on the Craft until I heard it gets very flappy at high speeds. Here are the boards I’ve been looking at: I’m wearing a size 10 boot that I just purchased and feel really happy with. The new incarnation of the YES Typo is essentially a souped-up Basic, with a few added features built on that most solid of foundations. I also want to stay somewhat technical and keep good riding habits. I would like to ride switch a little more often, and maybe do some very light jumps. I don’t charge steeps super aggressive, and I don’t really do park or freestyle. I like doing laid back west coast resort boarding, blues and blacks at a dad’s pace. I link my turns but have some trouble on toe sides still, and I can carve when I need to, if I’m not going too fast. I can very comfortably do most blues, and some of the easier blacks. This will be my 2nd season, and last year I went about 15 days. Realistically when I have a typo on a phone message app it looks like this: 'Yeah sounds good I'll meet you at the sausage rectory at 11pm'. On a computer, I probably use an asterisk most of the time out of old habit. I’d say I’m a high-beginner, low intermediate. In an SMS/phone-typed message I probably just type it again, corrected. In 2017, the Times dissolved its copy desk, possibly permitting more typos to slip through.
